ALOHA! Welcome back! We have shared a lot of information over the past few days and know you will need time to get through all of it. Please ask us whatever questions you may have so we can help.

Preparing for School Operations 2021-2022 and Admin Day 2021-2022. We have been updating any errors or clarifications within those presentations and links as they come up. We are very grateful for your feedback to help us out.
If you have Yard Duty, teachers/EAs should report to Lauhala Way (1) and Sidewalk Games (2). Adult supervisors will cover Kahakai, Bugs World, Sports and Hills zones. As there will not always be 1 adult per section, please monitor all students in your areas. Since students are assigned to zones, their classroom teacher may not be in that zone. As a reminder, teaching and escorting your students where to go for recess and lunch is part of learning the expectations during the first weeks and your support is very much appreciated.
We will look forward to seeing how the next few days go and provide updates at Wednesday’s Faculty meeting. As a reminder our faculty meeting this week will start at 1:35 pm and we will discuss future meeting start times.
Please don’t forget to park in the grassy lot for August 5, 6 and 9 to help our kindergarten parents.
Thank you to the cafeteria staff for our breakfast, to the custodians for getting campus ready, to the office for getting the class lists updated and to ALL of you for working hard and coming together for this exciting opening of the school year.

Updates for Students (A message will be shared through Seesaw)
Aloha to the BEST STUDENTS EVER! We are so happy to welcome you back to school. There has been a lot of information sent out to your families about your safe return to school and we know it is A LOT. We will be spending time when you get back to school going over the expectations with all of you.
Our new Principal, Mr. Rankie, and your VPs (Mrs. Pamatigan and Mrs. Umeno) believe that your safety is our top priority and we want to emphasize the importance of the safety measures we have in place for you.
From before you come to school, we ask that you are already checking to see how you feel by doing a daily wellness check. If you are sick, tell your parents so they can determine if you need to stay home from school.
Before you leave for school, make sure you have your mask packed! You will need it in school and on the bus.
When you arrive at school, please come to the open gates for a temperature check. Once you are cleared, we will help you find your waiting area for your classroom or to the cafeteria if you wish to eat breakfast.
Your teachers will take you into your classrooms and start your day. We will be practicing hand hygiene (washing and sanitizing your hands often) and social distancing.
We will have some pretty strict rules for recess and lunch times to help keep you safe, so please be sure to listen to your teachers and adults in charge-remember they are there to keep you safe. Some of the things to keep in mind-you will need to stay with your classroom when out at recess and lunch and will have assigned areas to do that (this is called an ohana bubble or cohort). You will also wear a face shield when you have your mask off to eat lunch.
After school, please know where you will go for bus or pick up. Grades K, 1 and families can wait up front by admin/F. Grades 2-5 will wait in the back of the school by D/Cafe. Only the bus will pick up students on the side by cafeteria. Please practice safe social distancing and wear masks when on campus. Don’t worry, adults will help you find your way.
Our faculty and staff will be cleaning and disinfecting and keeping areas ventilated as additional steps to help keep you safe.
We know you are excited to get back to learning. We are here for you and will help you every step of the way in getting back to school for SY 2021-2022!
