Updates for the Week of September 1, 2025

Early Bird Library Hours Open on TUESDAY!

Thank you, Mrs. Ramey for opening up the library for this student opportunity!

As shared at our Faculty meeting, if you would like to have training in CPR, AED and NARCAN, please complete this form:  Life Saver Training.  The training will be scheduled once interest is determined.  Thank you!

This week Wednesday is our first fire drill.  If you have questions about the procedures, please ask before Wednesday!  Also at Wednesday's faculty meeting, we will be reviewing important information for Safety Week Drills, which are scheduled for 9/22-9/24.  If you are missing this meeting, please schedule a time to review the information with an administrator.

Federal Survey Cards are coming out September 3!  Please help by reminding your students to return their cards as soon as possible.  Our school has a great reputation with our return rate, so let’s keep it going strong!

Health Room Information:

On 8/18, Sherri our SHA had emailed some information:

I would like to bring to your attention an increase in COVID-19 cases, as well as occurrences of Norovirus (also known as the stomach bug/stomach flu). I have attached the relevant guidelines for your reference, so please take a moment to review them.

We have received several inquiries regarding the protocols for students who test positive for COVID-19. According to the Department of Health's Respiratory Virus Guidance for K-12 Schools and Childcare Centers, students may return to school if their symptoms improve and they have been fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of medication. It is also recommended that students wear a mask for 5 to 10 days after their symptoms have resolved.

Common symptoms to watch for include: chest discomfort, chills, cough, decreased appetite, diarrhea, fatigue, fever or feeling feverish, headache, muscle or body aches, new loss of taste or smell, runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat, vomiting, weakness, and wheezing.

Don’t see your birthday?  Did you fill out this form?  This is the Personnel Data form that helps us keep information that only the office and admin use for emergencies (and to acknowledge birthdays).  If you do not wish us to acknowledge your birthday, please let us know and we will not share, however we do ask that all staff members complete the form so we can have your emergency contacts and vehicle information.

Thank you!
