Welcome Back and Happy New Year!


Hopefully Monday’s workday has helped ease everyone back into the new semester.  With so much changing so quickly, we will do our best to get information out to everyone.  We’re sure you and parents have a lot of questions and we will share information via email as soon as anything new is confirmed.  For now, there are no changes to current practices for close contacts or positive cases, but this may change…


Please share any updates to your classroom seating charts with admin as soon as possible.  


Recess will be INDOORS for  all recesses Tuesday due to saturated field conditions.  (But they are getting greener!!) We will reassess Tuesday afternoon.  Also, for Tuesday, please plan on bringing your students inside the buildings/classrooms upon morning arrival as the piko areas will likely be wet/damp.  If it is not raining, we will have regular dismissal after school.


Our resource and PLC schedule will be starting next week with grades 4, 3 and 2.  We will be sharing the schedule and more information at Wednesday’s faculty meeting.

At Ho'okele, we would like to foster a positive college-going attitude and culture by scheduling regular AVID College Awareness Days by inviting our STAFF to wear their favorite college or university t-shirt every Thursday. Please join us starting this Thursday by wearing your favorite college/university t-shirt and discussing with your students what makes your preferred college/university so special.  At this time, this option is only for staff, not students.


We're having a big job tech job done in our cafeteria that started today and will probably take a few weeks. They are aware of our lunch schedule and will work around us.  You will likely see cables hanging from the ceiling and large boxes on the stage and possibly in the near future toward the back of the cafe where the Audio Visual room is located. 

Until further notice, you will not be able to use the cafe for anything that requires the use of the projector OR microphone. You can still reserve the cafe to use, but just make sure you don't need the mic or projector.

This Wednesday marks Administrative Professionals Day, and we want to take a moment to sincerely recognize and thank our exceptional office staff. Their dedication and support extend far beyond the expected, touching every corner of our school. From cheerfully greeting families – both the friendly and the more challenging – to ensuring the smooth execution of every event, our office team is truly the backbone of our school. They arrive early, stay late, manage our supplies, process our paychecks and scan our lunches, and, above all, always help to ensure the well-being of our students. Thank you for all that you do!
