Updates for Week of September 21, 2020
This week we have our PD sessions on Monday. Please check your emails from the coaches for the agenda with links and times of sessions for your specific grade level. Monday’s PD sessions will be focused on math, teachers’ reflections on distance learning and continued planning time.
An email was sent to you (from mindy on Friday afternoon) if you wanted to order lunch for an 11:30 am admin pick up from Panda Express. This is an effort to support our PTA fundraiser. This is optional as we know your lunch times vary based on your schedules. You can support PTA at any time on Monday by ordering from Panda Express (see specific information on flyer emailed on 9/18/2020).
Our Complex Area Superintendent, Mr. Sean Tajima, will be visiting our campus this week, Tuesday. He will be physically on campus and checking in to your virtual classrooms during his visit. We are very excited to showcase the learning that is happening at Ho‘okele-you are doing great!
As a reminder, please remember to keep your Google Meetings open for students to reach out during independent work time. Unless you are working with other students, they should be able to reach out for help.

Here are a few reminders as we start off the new week. You have no school on Monday 9/21/2020 due to professional development training for teachers. Enjoy your extra day off!

We have 2 more weeks until Fall Break! Your Fall Break is coming up on October 5-9, 2020.
A survey was sent to your parents by email to help us prepare for when we return to blended learning. Ask your parents if they saw this important survey from your teacher and THANK YOU to families for the 284 responses we have already received as of Sunday morning.
After Fall Break we will continue with distance learning and we will keep you informed of any changes once they are confirmed.
We will be making necessary arrangements to provide you with safe, quality education whether you continue with distance learning or return to campus in a blended model. Your parents’ response to this survey will help us with that planning!
We want you to continue to be safe and continue working hard in distance learning. Be sure to thank your parents for the help they are giving you at home. This can be challenging for them too and your teachers appreciate the support!
