Laura Brown emailed the CARES submission form to teachers on 8/31/2020. We will continue recognizing students who consistently show our school's Vision/Mission.  This award is given to 1-2 students from each classroom, and are teacher-selected. Teachers may select students who demonstrated our school vision/mission during the school year or during our time in distance learning.  Because of our circumstances, students who received the award last year are eligible.  Selected students exhibit the following characteristics, aligned with the Ho‘okele School Vision and Mission.

The Ho‘okele CARES awardee:

  * Builds positive relationships with peers and adults (CONNECT)

  * Actively participates in learning (ENGAGE)

  * Thinks creatively and independently (INSPIRE)

  * Shows caring and helps others in the school community (SERVE)

  * Perseveres and achieves to high standards (SUCCEED)

Please complete this selection form and submit by Monday, September 21, 2020.

Award Certificates will be distributed on Student Supply Pick Up Day.

It is VERY IMPORTANT for ALL Employees to be accounted for during your workday.  If you are leaving early for anything other than your duty free lunch period, you need to have administrative approval to leave within your work day.  Regardless of the reason, ANYTIME you leave campus during your working hours, you need to sign out using this digital form or in the office binder.  This is for your protection in the event that an accident should occur, you are covered and protected.  Digital Off-Campus Sign out Log

Updates to share with Students- recorded message (Shared with teachers and students via Seesaw)

Aloha Students!

Here are the updates for the week of September 14, 2020:

This is an exciting week in that we will have our first round of resource classes on Monday.  Mrs. Brown, (Hawaiian Studies, PE and Visual Arts)  Mrs. Tanigawa (Coding), Mrs. Bagoyo (Library) and Ms. Melissa (music and dance) will be sharing out video classes and activities with you starting Monday, September 14.

Hopefully you saw the introduction video on Seesaw.  You will have time to view the resource class videos and complete the activities on Mondays from 12:15-12:50, but you will also have the whole week to complete any of the activities you are not able to finish.

These will all be recorded videos and activities.  We hope you enjoy and have some fun learning different things on our resource Mondays.

Mrs. Craft, Ms. Joy and Kumu Nettie would like to pass along how much they will miss working with you all this school year.  Here are their special messages...(See Video for messages)

Ask your parents to set up an appointment for picture taking at Pearlridge Mall over the Fall Break.  Information was emailed to your family on September 10.

Thank you for being amazing students!  Have a great week!
