HIDOE enrichment and distance learning to continue for the remainder of the school year

Hi All,
Iʻm sure most if not all of you know that normal school operations will not resume this school year. During Wednesdayʻs Faculty Meeting we will discuss what does this mean for our school moving forward with Distance Learning and closing out the school year.

No doubt this heartbreaking news is disappointing, although not completely unexpected. We will get through this together.

Deb Eveland and I host bi-weekly Google Hangouts with F206. Today we played the Energizer "Fact Fact Fiction" (or Two Truths and a Lie) LIVE during the Hangout using an interactive live Peardeck so they could write their three statements and we could all see (I was presenting the Peardeck responses)! Each child was able to read their three statements and everybody else typed the number 1,2, or 3 in the Comments. The student then shared their Fiction. They LOVED this and we are looking to integrate more live "Energizers" during our Hangouts since this was part of our Morning Meeting everyday while we were in classroom. It was so fun and was great to see them all smiling. :-)

Thank you Ms. Kremer for assigning activities that require students to learn how to cut, paste, and manipulate text in Google Slides with interactive practices! Even though as a parent I wanted to pull my hair out to teach my own child, I’m very thankful that he now has this skill for upper elementary and beyond!
