Updates for Week of August 6, 2018
Information for Faculty and Staff
Can’t you feel the positive energy of a BRAND NEW SCHOOL YEAR! Every day is a brand new day and although we will have challenges; more importantly we will have successes!
Everybody be glad-the sun is shining just for us!
(And hopefully Hector will find a course away from us-taking wind and rain with him!)
There was much information shared last week. Please utilize the staff intranet site, the VP admin day presentation, Ho’okele teacher tab on google drive, Google classroom (shared by Regina) and emails from Jill sent last week for the updates and most current information. Of course-ask questions for whatever help you may need. We have a big increase in enrollment that will be evident, so much appreciation for your flexibility as we monitor and adjust to keep everyone safe and get our systems in place!
You may start using the electronic Gotcha ticket: https://bit.ly/2LLM75j this week. Let’s remember to recognize the classes that excel in attentive listening and safety first during this first week of getting organized! Please do not award your own class, though...I have added the link to the form to my phone, so that may be one way for you to have it accessible when you are outside of the classroom. You may also access it on the laptops. It will collect your email address when you submit.
BIG Mahalo to Ms. Marilyn Valencia who will be subbing for our vacant Grade K position in F101 (and to Jill Higa for helping open the class). Starting next week, Ms. Tsulan Husted will be the sub for the Grade 1 vacant position. Ms. Regina Yamamoto is assisting this week to get the classroom opened up. We really appreciate these teachers stepping in and we ask that you please offer your support and assistance whenever possible to them and all of our new faculty and staff.
Enjoy your first week of school! Check your emails for updates and remember to relax and SMILE. THANK YOU for being a part of Ho’okele Elementary!
