Updates for Week of September 5, 2016
Information for Teachers
Hope you had a pleasant long weekend!
A heads up notice, starting in October we will have a church renting our facility. Rise Church (currently at Kapolei Middle School) will be renting the cafeteria on Sundays from 6:30-11:30 am; with services at 9:00 am. You may want to plan on avoiding campus during these times.
Please note changes in yard duty for Tuesday due to grade 1 field trip: 9/6 yard duty. Thank you support team teachers for lending a hand!
For your planning-Laureen will be off campus on Tuesday and Mindy will be off campus on Thursday and Friday.

Information for Students
FEDERAL SURVEY CARDS are coming home this week. Be sure to take them home and have parents complete them right away. We plan to send them home tomorrow and would like 100% back by Friday! You can do it- remind mom and dad that this helps us get money for our school!
Please remember that yard duty teachers have the final say as to whether they believe you are playing safely or not. If they tell you to stop, you need to comply. We are having problems with hoop ball-students are throwing the balls into the other color baskets, knocking them out of the way, throwing at each other, etc… You have flexibility in your games, but those things are not allowed. Throw the balls into the same colored hoop-not to the other hoops. No blocking and no throwing at each other. When the bell rings, we are also noticing students moving when they are supposed to freeze. Let’s help each other out so no one gets hurt!

SO far the feedback from your resource teachers has been very positive! It looks like the one area we can work on is our transitions when lining up, using restrooms and going to and from lunch/recess. Remember our Hihimanu Glide-Hands by your side.
Jamba Juice sale-this Thursday after school!
Have a great week!
