Updates for Week of January 4, 2016
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Thank you to the office and custodial staff for holding down the fort over the break! The campus looks great! Thank you to Lyle and cafe staff for our awesome breakfast!
Regular yard duty will resume next week. Please take some time to review with your students the behavior expectations for your classroom, recess and cafeteria. The days right after a break are a great time to refresh and revive your expectations. We will be starting some new incentives for their positive behavior this month.
Your building locks for D, E and F have been changed and you will need a new key for your building from the front office. This is an additional key-your room key will still be needed for classrooms. Because your new key will only open your building, we are moving the xerox machine from downstairs E building to downstairs D building so that every building has a xerox machine.
We may be having our front parking lot rented this Saturday for a Kapolei Lofts Event. Please park in the back lots if you come in on Saturday afternoon to work.
I was informed over the break by our music teacher, Natalie Capino, that she will be moving to Las Vegas at the end of this month. I will be therefore looking for a replacement. Natalie said she will work for the next couple of weeks and I will keep you posted. If you know of anyone, please let me know as the hiring process can be lengthy.

From Dollinda:
Just a reminder please turn in your Leave request forms 2 weeks prior to date that you are taking leave.
From Mike:
Place all trash in trash bags not boxes. We have trash bags for your use, if you need any please ask your buildings custodian. All boxes must be flatten prior to disposal. Have all trash tied and left in hallways before5:00 today. This will give custodians ample time to gather all trash to be dispose of.
** Classroom Recycle Bin
Custodians will come by and deliver recycle trash bins for classroom. When your recycle becomes full, please empty them into outdoor recycling bins. These bins are placed outside of classroom buildings on campus.

Welcome back! We hope you had a fun and energizing vacation! We can’t wait to hear about all of your exciting adventures over the break!
Please remember all of your tribes agreements and behavior expectations as you come back to school. We are looking forward to some new cafeteria challenges to help recognize your positive behavior-you can earn points for having a clean eating area, earning a green cup, lining up quietly and behaving appropriately at recess. You can use these points to earn celebration table privileges! I look forward to sharing this with you this week.
Happy 2016!
