Updates for Week of January 18, 2016
We hope you enjoyed your long weekend!
This week for lower grades, we will be providing subs for Ms. Capino, who unfortunately is unable to finish out the month of January for music. We hope to have the position filled soon, however, in the meantime students will be working on iready or alternate activities during their music block.
Thank you Natalie for your support and service to our students!!
Please place your lunch orders for January 25(form in your boxes). Lunch will be ordered from California Pizza Kitchen. Money and orders are due to Naomi by Friday 1/22. I’m hoping to convince the manager to throw in some extras for us too!
WELCOME BACK MARISA TAKEGUCHI and BIG MAHALO to Linda Shultz for her amazing job as a sub for the class. Linda is available to sub, her number is 255-2133! (She said she had emailed the wrong number…)

Student Announcements (Please read to your students)
Hi Students,
Congratulations to the following classes for having the highest average points in our first cafeteria behavior challenge:
K: Ms. Belmonte’s class
1: Ms. Duldulao’s class
2: Ms. Tanioka/Naone’s class
3: Ms. Hoshijo’s class
4: Ms. Alejandro and Ms. Eveland’s classes
5: Ms. Stevens/Garcia’s class
A special note that Ms. Stevens and Ms. Garcia’s 5th grade class has the highest number of points overall after the first week. Great job 5th graders for being role models in our school!
Please help take care of our school at all times. We have noticed a big difference in how you are cleaning up after yourselves in the cafe when people remind you or are watching for this, however, we would like you to do this on your own without being asked or told.
We noticed there are students who are again sticking their fingers in the wall joints by the cafeteria. This causes damage to the school that needs to be repaired. If you see someone doing this, please ask them to stop.
As a reminder there is no chase or tag games allowed during recess. You may run over the hill by the Kahakai Playground and race, but do not play chase or tag. You may also run in The Hills area when kickball is not being played. Any behavior referrals from recess will impact your class score for your cafeteria points! Be sure to follow the rules for safety at all times!
Good luck 4th graders with your Science testing this week! Do your best!
Enjoy your short week!
