Updates for the Week of April 13, 2026

Thank you once again for your responsiveness and flexibility to the late notice of Friday’s cancellation of school.  Hopefully everyone is staying safe and dry and unharmed by the storms as we continue to keep monitoring conditions.

Please note that anticipated plans for this week may change due to weather or property conditions.  Rain is supposed to return today…  Here is the Severe Weather briefing from 7:25 am 4/12/2026.

Please check your areas upon return to school and report any damage to admin immediately.  Please complete your respective leave form (300-001 for certificated and G-1 for classified) using leave code 35.  This leave does not apply to casual hire staff.

Thank you for all you do for our community and for supporting others.  We know all of this can weigh heavily and impact everyone in different ways.  Let us know if you need assistance or support.

Congratulations to newly National Board Certified Teachers, Crystal Alejandro, Natalie Wong, and our former teacher, Sarah Tupou!!

This accomplishment distinguishes you as a top-tier professional in the field of education.

The path to this recognition requires hundreds of hours of deep reflection, meticulous data analysis, and a rigorous evaluation of your instructional practice. By successfully navigating such a demanding process while managing daily classroom responsibilities and personal lives, it shows unwavering commitment to student achievement and teaching excellence.

This certification is a testament to your expertise and persistence and we are incredibly proud to have educators of this caliber leading the way for our students!

Crystal, Nat and Sarah were recognized this past weekend for their achievement.  We are happy to add them to our growing list of National Board Certified Teachers at Ho‘okele.

Great job!!
