2025 HES Art Show Visitation Schedule & Sign Up

It’s time for the ART SHOW!  Ms. Zigan has been preparing all of our students’ art work for this week’s show!  We look forward to seeing their work this week!

At the end of the school year, we will be celebrating our 5th graders with an end of year field trip celebration.  We are raising funds because we want to make this celebration a memorable one, since it is their last year in elementary.

We will be doing a Jamba Juice BOGO fundraiser.  Each BOGO card is $12.  Once purchased, they have Four (4) buy one, get one small smoothie of equal or lesser value for FREE. It is only one redemption per visit.  SUCH A GOOD DEAL!

We have placed order forms in your box for you to pass out to your students.  Please pass them out and return any order forms and money to my box or me, as you get them in daily.  We only have a certain amount of Jamba Juice Cards available.

Please reach out to Grade 5  if you have any questions.  Thank you for your support!

KMS teachers and staff will be coming to campus to do learning walks. They will be housed in the Office Conference Room, all day, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8:15 - 2:45. The schedule can be found here.

Thank you for being so willing to open up your classroom to support teachers at Kapolei Middle School (KMS).

The KMS teachers will visit your classroom for 15 minutes (see attached schedule) on specific days next week. They will follow the BERC Walkthrough Protocol. In this walkthrough, they will observe the classroom and then self-reflect on practices they saw to improve their own instruction. I just wanted to let you know that feedback will not be given to you because it is for the observer to become a better instructor.

Morning Broadcast:  Check out this week’s broadcast to learn more about Pono and Total Well-Being from the counselors and Mrs. Chun’s class!

This Wednesday is Paraprofessional Appreciation Day!

A paraprofessional is an individual who works in a supportive role, assisting teachers in providing instructional and non-instructional support to students.  They provide individual or small-group assistance, and support students with special needs in and outside of the classroom.  They help all students with their academic work, provide behavioral support, and assist with daily functional tasks.  They play a vital role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.  The support of our EAs before and after school is crucial to the safety and supervision of our students and we appreciate each and every one of them every day!  Paraprofessionals are valuable members of our team.

We would like to take this time to acknowledge our AMAZING EAs, PPTs, and RBTs- each who have specific roles.  Thank you for your compassion, patience, and the incredible work you do every day in working with our students.

Please don't forget that this Friday is School Librarian Appreciation Day!

Thank you Mrs. Ramey for everything you do for our Ho‘okele School Library and all of the extras that you add to enrich our students learning experiences every day!

Do YOU have an APPRECIATION, APOLOGY, AHA or Additional stuff that you would like shared in this blog?  Please contact VP Melinda Pamatigan should you wish to contribute, clarify or correct any information that is shared.  Posts are done on Sunday mornings, so let me know of information you would like to include by Saturday evening.  Corrections will be made to a posted blog as soon as I receive your notification.  THANK YOU!
