Our Ho'okele Spelling Bee will be on Monday, February 5, 2024, at 8:30 a.m. You may LIVE stream the Spelling Bee for your class to watch. From Principal Rankie’s email from 2/2 for attachments: Student Showcase - Please see the attached flier which will be sent home to our families today. If any grade level needs additional support as we lead up to the March 12 - 15 Showcase Week please let me know.  Hawaii Education Association (HEA) Scholarships - HEA has offered multiple scholarships to support the college and career success of Hawaii's teaching professionals. The scholarships are targeted for student teachers, ParaPros, teachers, and administrators. Please see the attached document for more information.

From Kari ZIgan: Aloha Amazing Teachers, Happy Aloha Friday! I am reminding you that I am here to help you with projects for the student showcase. I can help in a variety of ways. First of all, I have art projects that I have saved if you would like to use them for your display. You are welcome to come stop by and see what I have. I can also do extra classes for projects you have in mind that can be held in my room or I can come support you in your room. I can even help with making a supply list for materials needed for your projects. Please reach out and let me know how I can support you. I will share my schedule with some times available. If the times do not fit your schedule please reach out and we can see if I can adjust them. I am looking forward to working with you and seeing all the amazing work you do with our students!

From Grade 5 (Refer to email from Jordyn Shota-Chang 1/30) It's that time of year, again! 5th Grade Valentine's Day Fundraiser!! Please support the 5th grade team as we fundraiser for our End-of-Year Celebration! We will be selling Valentine's Day Bracelets for $2.00 Flyers will be in your boxes by tomorrow. Please be sure they are sent home with each student.  This year, teachers are not responsible for collecting any money or grams. Please see the attached flyer for details. Thank you for your support!

The Reading Workshop Teachers will be attending the O-G training with Ron Yoshimoto during the week of February 26th - March 1st. All Reading Workshop classes and grade-level support will be canceled that week so the teachers can attend the training. Please plan to keep your students with you that week.
