Thank you for being such gracious hosts for our CK complex area guests last week.  The Principals and DOE staff were very impressed by our facilities, staff and students.  Sally, Mike and Cindy really added the extra special touches with the lunch, personalized sticky note pads, and floral arrangement.  They were greeted with a lei by our amazing student council and truly seemed to appreciate all that our school has to offer.  We were so happy to share our CARES vision and mission as the basis of our school design and our visits truly reinforced the information we shared.  Thanks for preparing your classrooms and students for this event and thanks to all of the staff that kept things flowing while the support team was engaged with our guests.  Now, we just wait for the next opportunity to share all of this with our Superintendent!   THANK YOU!


Your VPs are excited to work more closely with the grade levels this school year.  You may have noticed us doing more classroom visits which we intend to include in our ongoing practice.  We each sent out a grade level specific letter from the VPs to our respective grade levels in an effort to better connect with our students and families.  Please let your grade level VP know how best we can support your unique needs.

SY 23-24 Teacher Support Group Opportunities


Administration would like to provide more opportunities for our teachers to grow within our school community.  Please indicate if you would be interested in being a participant or helping to facilitate one of these groups, which will be coordinated by our VPs.  


Leadership Growth Group:    This group is for ambitious teachers looking for fun and exciting leadership opportunities to help grow in their own professionalism while networking with others and helping the school progress and grow as a community.  


New Teacher Support Group:  This group is for any teacher who is new to Ho‘okele or new to the teaching profession who would like an opportunity to connect with other teachers in our school community in a very fun way.


RSVP by September 1, 2023.  Participation is optional.  Meeting dates will be coordinated by VPs with the interested teachers.

This Wednesday marks Administrative Professionals Day, and we want to take a moment to sincerely recognize and thank our exceptional office staff. Their dedication and support extend far beyond the expected, touching every corner of our school. From cheerfully greeting families – both the friendly and the more challenging – to ensuring the smooth execution of every event, our office team is truly the backbone of our school.
