Inspiration: Four of our students were recognized as Ho'okele representatives for the Lions Club "Sight is Beautiful" poster contest! See their beautiful and original work below and mahalo to Ms. Honicker for supporting our students in their creative efforts.



Updates:

  • There is a wonderful PD opportunity for ALL staff members coming up on March 14 and March 16. In person and virtual options are being offered. Participants will learn how to improve instructional practices, enrich their skills, and gain valuable resources to support our students and their families. Stipends are available. See more information here.

  • The Hawaii Education Association (HEA) is offering two scholarships of $2,000 to in-service tenured Certificated Staff and/or permanent EAs who are Hawaii State Department of Education educators in good standing. More information for those interested is here.

  • In addition to Institute Day for HSTA members next Friday, there is also an Institute Day for our Educational Assistants on February 17. Please reach out if you have any questions or would like to learn more.

  • Interested in a PD opportunity in the Philippines June 5, 2023 - July 10, 2023? All travel expenses, lodging and meal allowances, as well as a participation stipend will be included. Applications are due February 28. Please see the attached flier for more information.

This Wednesday marks Administrative Professionals Day, and we want to take a moment to sincerely recognize and thank our exceptional office staff. Their dedication and support extend far beyond the expected, touching every corner of our school. From cheerfully greeting families – both the friendly and the more challenging – to ensuring the smooth execution of every event, our office team is truly the backbone of our school. They arrive early, stay late, manage our supplies, process our paychecks and scan our lunches, and, above all, always help to ensure the well-being of our students. Thank you for all that you do!
