Updates for Week of November 9, 2020
Our school office will resume face to face operation on Tuesday, November 10. Thank you everyone for your patience, understanding and support during the closure.
We would like to extend our CONGRATULATIONS to our Hihimanu Hero of the Month.
This month's award goes to a teacher who is described by colleagues as
An amazing teacher who shows passion in what she does.
She makes distance learning look so easy by juggling all the different things expected of her. She has an amazing relationship with the kids who truly adore her.
She goes above and beyond to make modifications to ensure her students are getting the instruction they need.
I honestly feel she needs a CAPE!
PLEASE help congratulate Ms. Jodee Spencer as Ho‘okele's Hihimanu Hero of the month! YAY!
Keep being amazing and enjoy your week!

ALOHA Students,
We hope you are all doing well and staying healthy and safe!
Just a few short reminders about the upcoming weeks.
This Week Wednesday is Veteran’s Day and there will be NO SCHOOL. Thank you to all of you who are families of service members.
We appreciate all you do for our country!
Check for your resource class assignments for this week which will be posted Monday on Seesaw.
The following week Monday, November 16 is a resource pick up day to get updated materials from your teachers. Your teacher will send you the information if this applies to you as not all classes will have items to pick up.
Monday, November 16 is also a drop off for the canned food drive. There will be a drop off at the school during the resource pick up time. Watch for more information coming through email. Please help give to families in need of food during this time.
Your teachers will be sharing with you ways to review our emergency drills for fire, lockdown/shelter in place, earthquake and evacuation within the next few weeks. Although you may not be on campus, it is good practice to know what to do in an emergency whether you are at home or in school.
We are very proud of all of you for the work you are doing in school. We know you are working hard and trying your best. Keep up the great energy, effort and positive attitude! As we move into the Thanksgiving Season, be sure to show your gratitude and appreciation for those who are helping you be successful, including your teachers and your families! Your Ho‘okele family is grateful for each of you! Have a wonderful week and stay safe and healthy.
