Updates for Week of November 25, 2019

Information for Teachers and Staff
Please join us on Wednesday after school for a community building activity before the Thanksgiving Holiday!
See you in the library at 1:10 pm!
Dear Staff,
I want to thank all of you for supporting the Library at our Scholastic Book Fair during Nov. 12-20! We sold a lot of merchandise and raised money to purchase new books for our Ho‘okele Library. Thank you for being flexible with the use of the library space, for allowing your students to preview the book fair & make purchases during recess, for making the time to attend the Teacher Preview & create Teacher Wish Lists, and for those who were able to volunteer their time to assist in any way possible. I could not do this Book Fair without the support of our school community. I am truly grateful for you all!
Thank You,
Tara

On Monday, November 25th, please turn ON your classroom projectors and press the TUNER button (outlined in red on image-see email from Jill) on your control panel by 8:15 am.  We will be testing out our closed circuit system.  This is the first time we are attempting this so we would appreciate everyone's participation.
A 2 minute video will be played at this time.  Please have your students watch it. The video was created by Graphic Design students.  They are working on designing the yearbook cover for this SY and would like to involve the entire school in helping to create a collaborative design for our yearbook cover.  The video explains how all students can participate.
We will do a PA announcement at about 8:10 am to remind you to turn on your projector and switch it to Tuner TV.  Channels are already been programmed. Just make sure you are on TUNER and not Apple TV or HDMI or Computer.
After you finish watching the video, please click on this survey to confirm that your closed circuit system worked in your classroom.
If you are not able to see or hear anything on your TV system, please play the video...(I'll send it to you this weekend after I finish final edits).
In your box on Monday morning, you will also find copies the paper students are to draw on (see attached) to give your students if they decide to participate.  Participation is optional. All doodles are due to Jill by Friday, December 6th.
If you have questions, please let Jill know.

Did you all know that our AMAZING ADULT SUPERVISORS (Chaleesa, Nina, Vanessa, Anjulie, Barbara, Kaylee and Tonya) coordinated their own efforts to collect food for some of our families?
Thank you for the care and support you provide EVERY DAY!
Enjoy your holiday weekend full of eating, shopping, football, traveling, friends and family!  We are grateful for all of you! Happy Thanksgiving!
