Information for Teachers and Staff
We are HAPPY and GRATEFUL that Mrs. Dunn is returning this week on Friday! Welcome Back! Mrs. Pamatigan will continue to serve as TA Principal until Friday.
This week we bid ALOHA to Ms. Sarah Kim. Sarah will be focusing on her family and her last day for this school year will be Thursday. We appreciate all she has done for Ho‘okele and wish her the best! We welcome back Ms. Deb Eveland to the 5th grade classroom.
Thank you for informing admin of any students who will not be participating in our Fall Costume Parade. We will have a space for them to do alternative activities. You can send them to the PCNC room/Transition center with a chromebook, ipad or other fun activity for them to complete during this time. There are also games and books for them in the center.
Friday is our PD day for teachers on differentiation. Please bring data team information as this session will help you develop DI strategies to meet the needs of your learners. We ask that you come prepared and ready to focus on an awesome day of professional development! Grades 2 and 5 have refreshments. Leslie is working on the lunch order form as well.
EAs will be participating in QBS training this week Wednesday from 11:30-3:30 pm and Friday from 7:00-3:30 pm. There is a minimum requirement for hours for certification, so please be prompt for this training which is being held in D106. Due to their training on Wednesday, we do ask if any other staff is available to help support afterschool pick up to please be present immediately after school at the 3 pick up zones on Wednesday. If you have any questions, please contact Leslie.
For PLCs this week, we will be doing data reviews with upper grade level teachers. Please have your data sheets prepared!

Information for Students
On October 31st, students will be allowed to wear their Halloween costumes to school. However, all costumes must follow these guidelines. See attached for details.
If you are not participating in our Fall Costume Parade, you will be reporting to our transition center to play games, read or do other activities during the parade. If you go trick or treating, remember to be safe in your neighborhoods.
Make-up picture day is postponed and will NOT be on Tuesday this week. The new date is November 14.
Our Dance Team is having a fundraiser on Tuesday, November 5th from 5-6:30 pm. Come on down and learn hip-hop choreography from our dancers Ms. Toy and Melissa! See attached for details.
Next week students in grades 3-5 will be asked to complete a Panorama Survey about your teacher. This information helps your teachers know how best to help you! Please take this survey seriously and answer as honestly as you can.
