It’s National Bullying Prevention Month!
Every October, schools and organizations across the country join STOMP out Bullying in observing National Bullying Prevention Month. The goal: encourage communities to work together to stop bullying and cyber bullying by increasing awareness of the prevalence and impact of bullying on all children of all ages.
Please share the activities listed below with your students for this week.
RISE Church will be hosting Harvest Night “Trunk or Treat” on Halloween. If any teachers or groups would like to participate and decorate a trunk, here is the link for you to sign up. It would be an added bonus for many of the children to see their teachers on this special night! More details are on the form linked below.

Please remind students about leaving all toys and contraband items at home. Especially with Halloween coming up, students may have toy items that are not appropriate for school. Also, we thank you for helping to monitor your students bathroom use during instructional time.
Innovation Grant 2020 applications will be accepted until Nov. 20. These grants are being awarded to support teachers designing innovative educational projects for students. It is based on this year’s theme, “Ideas That Transform," with alignment to the Five Promises — Hawaiʻi, Equity, School Design, Empowerment, and of course, Innovation! Information for Students
Thank you to student council for planning this week’s activities to help increase awareness of bullying and how we can help reduce the impact bullying has on our students. Take the pledge, write a bucket filler, wear orange on Wednesday...but mostly remember to be kind to others!
TOGETHER WE WILL STAND UP, STAND STRONG, AND STAND TOGETHER AGAINST BULLYING!!
Parent-Teacher Conferences start this week! Please be sure to remind your parents about the early pick up time of 1:05! (Wednesdays is still the same time).
Exciting events coming up:
Next week, On October 31st, students will be allowed to wear their Halloween costumes to school. However, all costumes must follow these guidelines. See attached for details.
Our Dance Team is having a fundraiser on Tuesday, November 5th from 5-6:30 pm. Come on down and learn hip-hop choreography from our dancers Ms. Toy and Melissa! See attached for details.
