Updates for Week of October 14, 2019

Information for Teachers and Staff

From Mrs. Yamada:  Thank you Teachers and Staff of Ho'okele for your warm welcome and aloha during my TA subbing.  I enjoyed your hospitality, visits to the classrooms and doing yard/bus duty and just being around the students to just talk story.  It was a pleasure working with you. You are all doing a great job and wish you all the best for the remainder of the school year. Take care and continue to smile!  Mrs. Yamada ...Mahalo!

We hope you had a fantastic break!   As a reminder, VP Melinda Pamatigan will be TA Principal until 10/23/2019.  We do not have an additional TA VP assigned during this time.

Hepatitis B Vaccination schedule and  Personal Record forms have been distributed.  Please let administration know if you will be needing time from work to get these vaccinations completed.

There are a lot of events on the calendar for the week.  Please check locations for trainings and notify admin if you see any conflicts.

Get ready for your parent-teacher conferences starting on 10/22!  Always put yourself in the parents’ shoes and think of what you would want to hear and how you would want to hear it.  This is a great way to build relationships with families to help make difficult conversations easier in the future! Let a colleague or support team member know if you need advice or suggestions for conference time.

Be on the look out for a sign up sheet from Ms. Pechfelder for the Grade 5 Science Fair!

Have a great week to start of our new quarter!  Keep up the great work and momentum from Quarter 1 as we keep moving forward!
