Updates for Week of August 17, 2015

Hi Everyone,

Please keep all homework forms for your students as well as the signed audio visual forms.  Turn in the McKinney-Vento forms to the office.

If you have not done so, please turn in your acknowledgement forms to VP.  Check the intranet if you have misplaced your forms.

As a reminder, we need assistance in the cafeteria until our of our adults supervisors are cleared to work.  If you have lunch yard duty, please report to the cafeteria to help walk students to the playground at the start of recess.  It would also be very helpful to have students use the restrooms prior to lunch.  Especially for grades K and 1, it is difficult to monitor the bathrooms and cafeteria.

Welcome to Ho‘okele!
We officially welcome Jodee Spencer in grade 3, Deanna Luck in grade 1, Janelle Cuajunco as our PCNC and 3 of out PTTs-Lisa Corney, PE for grades K-2, Yvette Young, Hawaiian Studies for grades K-2 and Natalie Capino for grades K-2.

Student Announcements (Please read to your students)

Aloha Students!

We hope you have learned your new pick up area for after school.  Remind your parents of where they need to pick you up.

If you wish to purchase a second entree or lunch, please let your teacher know when you do lunch count in the morning.  This helps the cafeteria plan ahead to have enough meals.  Make sure you have permission from your parents and enough money in your account to purchase additional meals or entrees.

You are expected to line up quietly for exiting the cafeteria.  If you are not meeting these expectations, you will be asked to sit back down.  The longer it takes to line up, the less recess time you will have on the playground.  We know you can do it right the first time!

Your gotcha tickets will be collected Monday so we can recognize our celebration tables for the cafeteria!  Good luck!

Do you know the difference between reporting and tattling?  Here are some things to consider before telling an adult:

Tattling
Reporting
Getting someone in trouble
Keeping someone safe
An accident
On purpose
It is harmless
It is dangerous
Can solve it on your own
Need an adult to solve it
Unimportant
Important

Because Ho‘okele CARES!
Have a great week,
Mrs. Dunn and Mrs. Pamatigan

If you have an event that you would like added to the Faculty and Staff Bulletin, please submit this request form 1-2 weeks prior: Bulletin Announcement Request
