It’s a wrap!  Mahalo for an unforgettable adventure!  

This show was amazing, fun, heartfelt, and just so good.  I think we all recognized ourselves, or someone we know in the characters…

Thank you Laura, Melissa and everyone on the cast and crew of this incredible production.  The comments from the audience are always-”I can’t believe this is an elementary school musical!”

We appreciate everyone involved and everyone’s support.  Thank you everyone for your flexibility last Thursday to allow all of the students to see the show given the schedule changes-Thank you to our resource teachers, subs and those who stepped in to cover classes when needed.  And to the cafeteria and custodial crew who made the cafe ready for the show!  Your support and help made a zoo of a week look like a peaceful walk in Central Park!

Thank you to everyone who spent Friday night and all day Saturday and Saturday night (your Valentine’s Day!!) with us to put on the show.

This is a reminder that Club Picture-Taking will take place on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, from 8:00–10:00 a.m. in the Cafeteria. Please be sure to add this to your calendars.

Logistics:

  • Classroom teachers may bring their entire class to the cafeteria during this window or arrange for a grade-level teacher to monitor their class.

  • When bringing classes to the cafeteria, please ensure students bring work with them and keep voices at a minimum.

  • Students may bring their iPads to work on iReady while they wait.

  • Club advisors should come to the cafeteria 5 minutes before their scheduled time. The schedule is listed below.

  • Each club advisor is responsible for notifying their students.

  • Students in multiple clubs may need a few minutes to change shirts.

  • When lining up on risers, please help students line up tallest to shortest to speed up the process.

If you are a classroom teacher and foresee any coverage issues, please let Tammi  or Laura know.

Happy New Year and Welcome Back!   We hope you all had a chance to rest, recharge, and enjoy a well-deserved break. As we settle into this first week back, we hope to channel some of that refreshed energy into the new semester.  We also want to acknowledge that while many of us feel refreshed, coming back to school and work can look different for everyone. Whether your break was full of adventure, quiet rest, or perhaps some challenges, please know that your presence here is valued. We are here to support each other as we navigate this new year. Mahalo to our PTA for the Winter Wonderland Parent Activity on Friday.  It was very difficult to tell if we were at Ho‘okele or Disneyland! Mahalo to those who participated in Saturday’s Kapolei City Lights Christmas Parade! We had 23 students and 14 Staff and Parents representing and supporting Ho‘okele in this year’s parade. We appreciate all of the extra effort that goes into planning and coordinating these events for the students beyond the school days.  The ideas are already flowing for next year! Aloha Club RSVP and cash payment due to Jill by Friday, December 12th for the Christmas Party on 12/19.   Bozeman Science is Monday and Tuesday!
