Your months of hard work are deeply appreciated. Additionally, a big thank you to everyone who will be volunteering their time and energy on Saturday to make this event a success! UPDATE: THANK YOU to everyone who helped with the planning, set up, implementation, clean up - we appreciate ALL of YOU! We really appreciate the TEAM of you who showed up to lend a hand with everything from tents to games to bouncy house security, from first on site at 6:00 am until last at nearly 8:00 pm. It was also great to see so many of your families involved as well. The feedback from our Ho‘okele families was overwhelmingly positive- so much that our families want a Ho‘olaule‘a EVERY YEAR! 😳Thanks again to all for sharing your time and effort to help with this very special and meaningful event for our families. Parkway Village at Kapolei I've spoken with the Parkway Village at Kapolei Leasing Team and the Parkway Village Preschool. If you apply to either, please let me know, and I will share your work status at Ho‘okele with them. 1) Lottery applications for Phase 2 Parkway Village at Kapolei is now accepting lottery applications for Phase 2. You can fill out an application online at www.ParkwayVillageKapolei.com. Login to Parkway Village at Kapolei to track your account | Parkway Village at Kapolei Once you have completed an online application, you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, then please log back in and confirm your application is complete. If you don’t have access to the website, we can mail you an application as well. Please respond to this email with your name and complete address. You will need to drop off or mail the application to the address below: 689 Manawai Street Unit C101 Kapolei,HI 96707 Important Dates: -Deadline for completed wait list applications: Accepting Completed Wait List Applications April 2nd-April 17th 2025. -Lottery closes: April 17th 2025 at 5pm HST *Applications received after April 17th, 2025, at 5pm HST, will not be considered. -Lottery Drawing: April 21st 2025 -Anticipated move-in date: June-August 2025 *Please note that due to construction move-ins could be delayed. 2) Parkway Village Preschool Parkway Village Preschool anticipates opening two of its four classrooms by the end of the current school year, accommodating approximately 25 students. All four classrooms are expected to be operational at the start of the next school year, with an estimated capacity of 80 students. They are currently accepting applications and are encouraging interested families to apply. If your family applies, please let me know so I can communicate this with them. Music Online Professional Development Credit Hour The Office of Curriculum and Instructional Design, Fine Arts Program, in collaboration with Lōkahi: ‘Ukulele Collective, offers an Introduction to Teaching ‘Ukulele, professional development (PD) credit hour sessions open to the Hawai'i State Department of Education's Elementary and Music teachers. Participants will gain valuable resources, discuss practical applications in their classrooms, and discuss summer learning opportunities. If you are interested in attending the PD credit hour session, please complete the interest form using the link provided below. The Educational Specialist for Fine Arts will confirm your registration and a virtual meeting link will be shared through your contact information provided in the interest form. Participants must obtain approval from their principals or supervising administrators before registering for the session. Stipends will not be provided for participating in this session.
Infinite Campus Infinite Campus users are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the new look of the platform, which will be fully implemented starting next school year. To access the new look, click on the person icon on the top right, and choose "Try New Look." The SIS Sharepoint site is being updated with more information including the New Look of Infinite Campus Navigation Learning Guide. Contact the IT Help Desk at help.hidoe.org or 808-564-6000 if you have questions. For Elementary Teachers: New Look of Infinite Campus Navigation Guide for Elementary Teachers UH GenCyber Camps The University of Hawaiʻi invites students and teachers across the state to register for the free 2025 GenCyber camps. These camps provide exciting, hands-on opportunities to develop valuable cybersecurity skills. GenCyber is a program funded by the National Security Agency and the National Science Foundation. |
