Happy Chinese New Year and Best Wishes to all of our SNAKES!

Please review the information regarding WASC from our Faculty Meeting.  Mock Interviews will be conducted on February 12 and 19.  Please familiarize yourselves with the information and schedule!  Thank you to Laura, the WASC leads and all of you who actively participated in the process!  

eWaste 

We will be having an eWaste event at Ho'okele on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 8AM - 12PM.  You're welcome to come down that day to eWaste your personal items.  See flier for details to see what items they accept.  

School Owned Items: 

If you have any miscellaneous technology items (cables, adapter, cords etc) in your classroom that was purchased by the school that you would like to get rid of, please put it in a box or label it with your name/room number and send it up to me. You can leave it on the table outside my office.  Do NOT eWaste school items without turning it in to me first.  Items need to be properly removed from our inventory system. You may send me items as early as NOW till: February 14th.  Please don't wait till the end because I'll need some time to go through the items. 



SBA Interim Continues!

Just a friendly reminder that Grades 3-5 will have their upcoming SBA Interim Assessment window from January 21-31. Grades 2 and 3 will switch first recess times during the assessment window to allow our third graders to have a longer testing block. We really appreciate your flexibility and cooperation to help support each other! 

SBA Interim: Jan 21 - Jan 31

Grade 2 will have recess from 9:10 - 9:25 and 

Grade 3 will have recess from 9:50 - 10:05

Subs for all listed courses are paid for by the state.


Hīhīmanu on the Move afterschool clubs will be starting this week through Spring Break.  Through a special grant, students will have the opportunity to engage in clubs such as Running, Zumba, Pickleball and Dance.  Thank you Laura, Noe and Carli for coordinating this and to our instructors (Joanne, Robin, Noreen, Jamie, Keri, and Melissa) for getting our hīhīmanu moving!


Also, thank you to Marie, Ashley C., Kari, Elizabeth, Jordyn and Cam for providing other before and after school club opportunities for students during the 3rd quarter..  


Good Luck to our Basketball Team at the Tournament this Friday at Kapolei High School!



How about that 10-year celebration?

It was an incredible event! A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to its success – from the planning and set-up to the execution and clean-up. Your hard work made this a truly momentous occasion.

A special thanks to the families of our faculty and staff for joining us. It was heartwarming to see so many members of our 'ohana come together and celebrate. This event was a wonderful reminder of our strong community and the exciting future that lies ahead for Ho'okele.  We are grateful!!

This Wednesday marks Administrative Professionals Day, and we want to take a moment to sincerely recognize and thank our exceptional office staff. Their dedication and support extend far beyond the expected, touching every corner of our school. From cheerfully greeting families – both the friendly and the more challenging – to ensuring the smooth execution of every event, our office team is truly the backbone of our school. They arrive early, stay late, manage our supplies, process our paychecks and scan our lunches, and, above all, always help to ensure the well-being of our students. Thank you for all that you do!
