It is that time of the year. "Federal Impact Aid Program Survey". Please pass the survey out no earlier than Wednesday, 9/6/23 to all of your students. What is Federal Impact Aid? Impact aid is the federal government's reimbursement to school districts for the presence of nontaxable federal property. Impact Aid funding may be given to students: -Including parents/guardians working on federal properties, on-base schools, national parks, and federal buildings, whether they be civilians, contracted civilians, or active duty military members. -Living on federal properties such as military bases. -Living on federal low-rent housing properties. HIDOE typically uses Impact Aid funds to cover costs for substitute teachers, data system upgrades, utilities & facilities. Curriculum programs & materials. The school can only get credit if there is a 100% return rate for the federal surveys, so we need all the surveys that go out to come back even if the student doesn't qualify each response will count for our school. Please see Dede for more information and questions. |
Remember those cute little books you received and the fancy colored pens!? Make some time this week to make a few notes in your journal. Here are some prompts to help you focus on some of the positives:
