Updates for Week of February 28, 2022
Faculty and Staff Updates
Aloha!
WELCOME to our new counselor, Mr. Eduardo Garibay! He is an experienced counselor who will be a great contribution to our team! We are still working on the details of his position and location, but you can expect to see him teaching SEL lessons and working with students starting this week. For now, he will be based in the Office Conference Room.
Ms. Cristinette Likiardopolous is our new MFLC counselor who started recently as well. Her focus is primarily with students in military families. You may have seen her already working with students individually and in small groups for Lunch Bunch. Her office is in the PSAP room area outside of the SSC office.
We are excited to have both of these experienced counselors on our team to help support our students!

Updates for Students
Aloha,
We have a new counselor on board who will be around to help students. Please welcome Mr. Garibay to our school! He will be working with Mrs. Okamoto and Mrs. Yamamoto to provide support to our students and teaching some of your SEL lessons.
You may also have noticed Ms. Cristinette Likiardopolous. She is a counselor who works directly with students of military families.
If you need any assistance from a counselor, please let your grade level counselor, Mrs. Okamoto or Mrs. Yamamoto know so they can help get you the support you need!
This week is Read Across America Week! You will have some very exciting Mystery Readers sharing stories with your class this week, Dress up Days and a bookmark design contest! Thank you to our Librarian Mrs. Ramey for coordinating this event to promote a lifelong love for reading!
Your Read Across America Dress Up Days are as follows:
Monday 2/28/2022 Reading Exercises the Mind (Activewear)
Tuesday 3/1/2022 Hats Off to Reading (Hat Day)

All clothing must meet school dress code guidelines which is posted on our school website in the Parent Information and Handbook. Please also dress safely (this week and at all times), meaning do not wear any clothing or footwear that could make it difficult for you to be safe on campus (such as high heeled shoes, hats or hoods that block your vision, long flowing garments that could get tangled, etc…)
Have a great week! Just 2 more weeks before Spring Break!
