Updates for Week of March 1, 2021

Welcome Ms. Cynthia Reyes as Ho‘okele’s SASA!  Cynthia has been hired into this position and we are excited to have her officially on board in this role. A traffic safety reminder will be going home this week to parents to assist with drop off and pick up procedures.  Please remind your families about the following specifics for your grade levels: *Drop off and pick up times AND locations *Ask students to bring bags to take home their lunches Our final grade levels (4th and 5th) start this week on the blended learning model. What an exciting time this has been with the students coming back.  We have heard so many positive things and immense gratitude from parents for the opportunity for students to be in school.  Thank you for making everything happen and thank you for helping to guide your colleagues in other grade levels by sharing the successes and challenges you have had in order to help us become successful as a school.   iReady information was shared ...

Updates for Week of February 22, 2021

This week we will be welcoming back our 2nd and 3rd grade students!  Teachers- be sure to communicate and emphasize the following: *Drop off and pick up times AND locations *Ask students to bring bags to take home their lunches.   Kudos to the teachers in grades K and 1 for all of your support and organization for the past 2 weeks and thank you to everyone for your ongoing flexibility and problem solving as we add in about 45-50 more students per day to campus. Please remember the procedures we have are all for safety purposes and although may be inconvenient for some, the scheduling and staggered times are helping us tremendously with social distancing and being able to provide a safe waiting area for students.  Grade 4 and 5 teachers will receive additional details this week for your return to in person learning the week of March 2.  We will be having a on Friday at 8:30 am for all students and staff on campus.  Please review the fire drill procedures an...

to everyone who helped make our kindergarten transition week to blended learning successful last week.  It really does take a village and we are so fortunate to have faculty and staff willing to make the extra effort to make things work.   As many of you have experienced or will soon experience, the schedules are very tight and it really is important to get our routines set and finalized as we work out the details to keep everyone safe.  Not everything laid out on paper always works, but anything can be accomplished with a strong team chipping in to help.  We appreciate your ongoing patience and flexibility as we move forward with the addition of grade 1 students this week and the challenges each new phase brings weekly.   The parents have been great at coming on time, so thank you to the classroom teachers for reminding them of how important this is to making things flow smoothly at drop off and dismissal scheduled times.
