Updates for Week of July 20, 2020

Updates for Faculty and Staff

So, how was that summer break?!  I’m sure most of you don’t feel like this break was very restful or rejuvenating, but hopefully you did get to spend quality time with your families.  With just a couple weeks before school starts there is a lot of information already available.  We will focus on keeping the blog as a resource for you to access current updates.  Continue to check back and check your emails frequently for any changes.
Your administrators, support team, office, cafe and custodial staff have been working continuously throughout the summer to create plans for a safe and efficient reopening of our school campus.  This week, we are finalizing student groups, parent handbooks and faculty handbooks, notifying parents and making adjustments based on the feedback we received on Distance Learning options.  Please see Jill’s email to teachers regarding the process for class lists. Thank you for your patience as we strive to get things as accurate as possible.

A special MAHALO to our 10 month faculty members who have been meeting voluntarily to help provide feedback on our reopening.  Your dedication and commitment is valuable and essential as we navigate through this enormous task of reinventing all aspects our school.  We hope that at the core, even though school may look much different, it is still about how much Ho‘okele CARES and everything we decide is in the best interest of our students and for the safety of all.

Aloha and Welcome our new faculty members or to those in new positions this school year!
