Alice in Wonderland Jr.
The Alice in Wonderland Jr. performances wrapped up this weekend.  What a great success for all involved! Under the direction of Ms. Brown, Mrs. Yamamoto and Mrs. Tanigawa, the annual musical truly makes Ho’okele special. A huge mahalo to all of the faculty and staff for your contributions to the performances and production; from hair and makeup to, costume/set/prop design, choreography, lighting/sound, video crew, potlucks, Bake Sale, distribution of programs and more!!! The collaborative team effort has truly made this a success!  I apologize for not naming everyone who contributed. I didn’t want to leave anyone out!




Career Day:
Thank you to Mr. Yamamoto and Mrs. Okamoto for coordinating our Career Day events.  Thank you to our faculty and staff for making Career Day a success! For grades 3-5 students, we will be sending out a survey to see how we can improve the event.  For all teachers, we will send out a survey to get your perspective on how to make improvements. Thank you again.


iReady Early Spring Diagnostic Completion Status:
Grade 2 is in the lead for the highest completion rate!! Please continue to have students finish up their iReady Diagnostic test this week!
•Grade K: 93% completed for Reading, 93% completed for Math
•Grade 1: 78% completed for Reading, 90% completed for Math
•Grade 2: 96% completed for Reading, 94% completed for Math
•Grade 3: 93% completed for Reading, 75% completed for Math
•Grade 4: 90% completed for Reading, 84% completed for Math
•Grade 5: 90% completed for Reading, 87% completed for Math
K-2 Testing Schedule:
Here is the K-2 Testing Schedule for this week. Refer to Regina’s email sent on March 3rd for more information.  A big mahalo to Cassie, Val and various members of the support team for providing additional coverage for your classes.

Wednesday Celebration:
Thank you to our PTA for providing yummy food at our Wednesday celebration last week! We hope you had a fun time last Wednesday!  Congratulations to Group D: Assessment- WINNERS of our 2019 Faculty and Staff Games!!!!

We hope you enjoyed learning about different career opportunities last week. Please thank Mr. Yamamoto and Mrs. Okamoto for organizing this event.
Thank you for being a great audience at our Alice in Wonderland Jr. performance!  What a great experience for all of us to enjoy. Congratulations to the cast and crew!  You did an amazing job and we are all so proud of you!
Please continue to be a respectful audience at our upcoming CARES assemblies this week!  Congratulations to those who exemplify our Ho‘okele vision and mission! We look forward to the performances from grades 2 and 5.
Let’s finish up with a positive last week of Quarter 3!  Enjoy your Spring and we will see you back in school on March 25th!

This Wednesday marks Administrative Professionals Day, and we want to take a moment to sincerely recognize and thank our exceptional office staff. Their dedication and support extend far beyond the expected, touching every corner of our school. From cheerfully greeting families – both the friendly and the more challenging – to ensuring the smooth execution of every event, our office team is truly the backbone of our school. They arrive early, stay late, manage our supplies, process our paychecks and scan our lunches, and, above all, always help to ensure the well-being of our students. Thank you for all that you do!
