Information for Faculty and Staff

Thank you for all of your hard work to prepare students for the student showcase.  We know this takes much time and care to coordinate and implement with your students.  We are excitedly looking forward to the products of all of your and your students’ hard work!  Please see Laura’s email from Friday regarding Happy Grams and THANK YOU for all that each of you has done to contribute to this event.
Due to the set up in the cafeteria, the seating for the morning and lunch will be modified.  Please remind your students to be flexible and follow the instructions provided by the cafeteria supervisors.

With recent events and threats, please let us know how administration and counselors can help provide support for you or for students in addressing violence.  This resource was provided by DOE for your reference and use as well.

Information for Students
Congratulations to the newly formed RoboRayz team for winning the Judges Award at the VEX Invitational at Windward mall on President’s Day!  The Judges Award is presented to the team that the judges decide is deserving of special recognition.  The judges felt our team showed exemplary effort, perseverance and positive team spirit at this event.  We are very proud of Julian, Ryder, Nico, Alyssa, Layla and Alexander!  Mahalo to our coaches-Ms. Barilla, Ms. Tanigawa and Mrs. Brown! Congratulations on your 6th place finish!

How welcomed do you feel on our school campus?  Do you think people smile and say hello to you when you walk by them?  Are students and adults friendly and helpful?  We hope you say yes, but we think that this is something we can all work on as well.  So let’s try to make it a goal this week to say or do at least 1 nice thing per day for someone on our campus.  Say hello to a new friend, help your teacher, help your classmate, pick up litter, invite someone to play on the playground, hold a door open for someone, write a kind note to a classmate or teacher, smile at everyone-it’s contagious...There are many things you can do to help make others feel comfortable and welcome at our school.  We can’t wait to see how you do with this challenge!

We are sooo excited to see your student showcase work!  Please remember to admire the work by looking and not touching.  This includes when you are in the cafeteria in the morning and at A+.  You have done an AMAZING job, let’s show mutual respect and appreciations for each others’ work!

This Wednesday marks Administrative Professionals Day, and we want to take a moment to sincerely recognize and thank our exceptional office staff. Their dedication and support extend far beyond the expected, touching every corner of our school. From cheerfully greeting families – both the friendly and the more challenging – to ensuring the smooth execution of every event, our office team is truly the backbone of our school. They arrive early, stay late, manage our supplies, process our paychecks and scan our lunches, and, above all, always help to ensure the well-being of our students. Thank you for all that you do!
