Happy belated COUNSELOR’s WEEK! Thank you to Jared and Elizabeth for all you do to help support our students, staff and families! We know your reach extends far beyond what we see and we appreciate you!
Our transition center will be set up shortly in the old PSAP area outside of the SSC office. We are looking forward to this location for our Anchored4Life Team Leaders to help provide support to new and transitioning students. Please type in your selections for crew members on the table linked. You may include up to 2 names per class. (Cassie has moved her PSAP room to a new location in lower E building-stop by and check it out!)
We will not be having the Home Group Lead and AVID meetings on Tuesday. The meeting is canceled.

Information for Students
Would you like to be an Anchored4Life Crew Member? Crew Members help support new and transitioning students to help them learn important locations in the school, be a buddy and help explain Ho’okele expectations. If this sounds like something you would like to do, let your teacher know! Your teachers will select students to fulfill this role when we get new students coming to our school.
Please remember to thank your counselors, Mr. Yamamoto and Mrs. Okamoto for all of the help and support they provide!
Be aware of our school’s cell phone policy, as we have seen many students getting out cell phones before and right after school. Students should only be using phones to communicate with parents if they are late to pick you up. Otherwise, you must keep cell phones put away while on school campus, unless you have permission from your teacher to use your phone. You can always request to use a school phone, if you choose to leave your cell phones at home.
Cell Phone Policy
We recognize that cell phones have become a common tool for communication. However, they have also become a major distraction to the learning environment and are vulnerable to theft. We ask that you allow your child to carry a cell phone only if absolutely necessary. A child who brings a cell phone to school is responsible for their own property.
Students are allowed to carry cell phones to school. However, phones must be turned off and stored out of sight during school hours. Phones may not be used to talk, take pictures, play games, record or text while on school campus, including before school, after school, on the bus and at recesses.
Students who do not follow this policy will be asked to put their cell phones away. A student who refuses to put away their phone or continues to use the phone inappropriately or at inappropriate times may be referred to the office for insubordination.
Show someone you care about them this week!
