Updates for Week of September 25, 2017
Information for Faculty and Staff
As you plan and prepare for the rest of the quarter, we want to remind you that the last day for RTI classes during the first quarter will be on Friday, September 29th. RTI classes are not scheduled during the last week of the quarter to allow you more time to assess your students. Thus, we will not have RTI classes during the week of October 2nd - 6th. RTI will resume classes on Tuesday, October 17th.
RTI classes will also be canceled on the following days:
- October 31st - Due to the Fall Costume Parade
- November 20th - 22nd - Short week (Turkey Trot, Thanksgiving)
It’s Buddy Week (9/25-9/29)!! Let us know if your fun activities so we can come see the awesome interactions among students!
We look forward to visiting your classrooms this week Wednesday for our walkthroughs! Please let your students know that we will be visiting and may be asking questions to them. An email with details was shared with teachers on 9/20 from Ashley Shinn.
Thanks for assisting your subs and students during fire drill last week. Please make sure your students know your class number for drills so they can meet you on the field if they are in a separate location. I am reminding students that no one should ever be entering a building when a fire alarm is sounding.
Have a great week!

Information for Students
Good job with the fire drill last week Friday! We completed it in just under 5 minutes. As a reminder, NEVER go into a building when a fire alarm is going off. If you are not with your class when an alarm sounds, walk quickly and quietly to the gathering location on the field and meet your class there.
Do you like your school? Are you happy to be in the newest school in the state? Many students would consider themselves fortunate to attend a school that is so new..and yet, we see students leaving rubbish on the ground, not taking care of the restrooms and not taking care of furniture in the classrooms and hubs. As a responsible learner, you should take care of our learning environment so that others can enjoy this school as well. Help do your part and clean up after yourself in the cafeteria, in the common areas and classrooms, help clean up after others and use caution and care when handling school equipment (like recess toys), furniture and chromebooks and ipads.
There are just 2 weeks before the end of the quarter! Make them awesome! Have a wonderful week!
JPO-Squad 2 is on duty this week.
