To our AWESOME Teachers,

This past week was a true testament to our vision, as it is not only for our students, but our faculty as well.  To see all of you Connected and EngAged in the PBL process gets us excited.  We are looking forward to seeing your projects InspiRe and SErve our students with rigor and inquiry, as they strive for Success in everything they do.

Thank you to ALL of you for making our families feel welcomed at our Meet and Greet nights.  It's always nice to see everyone smiling and the excitement in our students about returning to school.

Also, a HUGE mahalo to our cafeteria staff for the delicious breakfast Thursday morning, the custodial staff for cleaning our campus and assisting with parking during meet and greet, and our office staff assisting with meet and greet.  We truly appreciate all that you do to prepare our campus for the new school year.

Ready or not, we are looking forward to an exciting third year here at Ho'okele! Please let us know if there is any way that we can support you throughout this school year.

Aloha,

Information for Students

Welcome Back to School!

We are so happy to see all of you back at Ho’okele!  And we are very happy to have so many new faces at our school.  We saw soooo many of you last week at Meet and Greet with your families!  Welcome and Aloha to ALL of you!

We look forward to greeting you at our Welcome Back Assembly NEXT Monday, August 14!  It will be a Good Time!

We have many new teachers and a new Vice Principal this school year.  Mr. Agena will be the VP for grades K-2 and Mrs. Pamatigan will be the VP for grades 3-5.  We both look forward to working with you this school year!

We know you will have a LOT of new information to learn today from your teachers and a lot of rules and routines to remember!  Some will be the same and some will be new.  When you are at recess-remember SAFETY FIRST above all!  Follow your tribes agreements:  Mutual Respect, Attentive Listening, Appreciations (No put downs) and Everyone has the right to participate!  Wait for a supervisor to be on duty before playing.  Walk on the sidewalks and freeze when the bell rings!

Be like sponges this week and ABSORB all of the knowledge you need for a
successful start to the school year!
