Updates for Week of April 4, 2016
Hi Teachers!
We will be doing walkthroughs this Monday and are looking forward to visiting your classrooms!
The after school RTI and Hula classes begin this week. Students will receive stickers to remind them. Thank you for distributing them. Most students should know where to go after school, however please assist any students if they need help. We will not be having staff pick them up, however your grade level may designate someone to assist in sending the whole group together. The programs will run for 5 weeks only this session.
HGLs-please turn in your reservation requests for HTY to me by April 13. They will be submitted together as a school.
On a trial basis, I would like to let students start taking the lead in kickball at recess. If you are in the hills area, please monitor the game. If students have any conflicts or unsafe play, the game can be called off by the adult. We will see how it goes-your feedback is appreciated!!
Have a great week. Time is flying by us-Hang in there!

Student Announcements (Please read to your students)
Hi Students,
We would like to give you the opportunity to show you can follow the rules for kickball. Please follow all rules and play safely and fairly. An adult will be monitoring and will call the game if they feel you are not being safe or if there is any arguments over play. The games set out for you are to have fun, but always remember safety first. We will see how it goes.
It is disappointing to see students still kicking footballs when you have been reminded several times that it is for passing only. Remember, games and activities will not be available to you if you cannot follow the rules.
Please remember to leave all toys at home. Your phones are not to be used on campus except to contact parents. At all other times, they need to be in your bags, including on the bus or waiting for the bus.
CPO-Team 2 is on duty this week.
The leaders for last week’s behavior for the April challenge are:
Kindergarten: Ms, Belmonte and Ms. Arakaki
Grade 1: Ms. Luck
Grade 2: Ms. Takeguchi
Grade 3: Ms. Hoshijo and Ms. Spencer
Grade 4/5: Ms. Alejandro and Ms. Eveland
These points will be added up for the month of April to see which class gets the special treat. You will start earning resource class points next week as well! (This week was only for cafeteria). All of the classes were really close so far! Every class has a chance to pull ahead by being on your best behavior all of the time!
Have a great week!
