Updates for Week of April 11, 2016
Hi Teachers!
Our Hawaiian Studies teacher for lower grades will begin this week! Please welcome Damon Nakatani who will start on Tuesday! Thank you to all of you who provided lessons or coverage for last week. It is very much appreciated.
Please bring your laptops to this week’s faculty meeting. Bring your tripod results if you have them.
Thank you for bearing with us as we work on the AC problems. Hopefully all will be running normally this week. Also do not forget to call the alarm company if you set off an alarm. It is important to do this immediately as they initiate their contact protocol as soon as the alarm goes off. Even if you turn it off with your code, you still need to call right away!
Have a wonderful week!

Student Announcements (Please read to your students)
Hi Students,
You all did a fairly good job at kickball last week. A few reminders and suggestions-pitchers, roll the ball smoothly so kickers do not need to “double kick” by stopping the ball and then kicking it. When you line up to kick, make a line straight back (not sideways) so the pitcher knows who is next. Outfielders, spread out so everyone is not rushing towards the balls. Stay in your own area.
Let’s have fun and be safe! Good job problem solving last week-Keep it up!
I’ve noticed most scores for cafeteria are staying around 10-12 points, and students are not doing as well at keeping your areas clean. You also need to walk out quietly in line to the stop signs. This is not a time to play. Let’s work on that those targets this week so we can see higher scores 13-15 for cafeteria.
The leaders for last week’s behavior for the April challenge are:
Kindergarten: Ms. Sah’s and Ms. Belmonte’s classes
Grade 1: Ms. Duldulao’s class
Grade 2: Ms. Takeguchi’s class
Grade 3: Ms. Hoshijo’s class
Grade 4/5: Ms Steven’s/Ms. Garcia’s class
Prizes will be awarded for winners at the end of April!! For lower grades, your resource classes made a big difference this week. Remember to follow expectations at all times, especially music and PE.
CPO-Team 1 is on duty this week.
Have a great week!
