THIS YEAR IS SO EXCITING!  What a fantastic start to our school year with such engaging sessions last week!  Hopefully you have UNITED with some of your colleagues through our tribes and science sessions and have had time to prepare your rooms for our first day of school on Wednesday.


We know you have been inundated with information and links to links to links with more information, please do not hesitate to ask where you can find the information that you are looking for.  We are all here to support you and help you GROW.  Hopefully our sessions on Monday and Tuesday will provide you with the rest of the answers you need to get your students started on our best year yet.

Aloha and Welcome to Ho‘okele School Year 2022-2023!


On behalf of Principal Rankie, VP Umeno and myself (VP Pamatigan), we are eager to get this school year started this WEDNESDAY, August 3!  Our theme this year is UNITE, EXCITE, GROW and we cannot wait to get started!


We hope everyone had a wonderful summer.  By now you should have received information (Virtual Meet & Greet) from your teacher with everything you need to know about the first day of school.  We are looking forward to seeing you again and meeting new faces to our Ho‘okele family. The teachers and staff have been working very hard this summer to prepare a safe and inviting campus. We are READY-Are you?!


There is a LOT of information on our school website and in the Welcome Letter email  that was sent last week from Mr. Rankie.  You will also get a packet of information with our updated handbook, lots of forms and papers for your parents to review on your first day of school.  If you have questions-be sure to check out our school website at https://hookele.hidoe.us/ for more information and reach out to your teachers.

This Wednesday marks Administrative Professionals Day, and we want to take a moment to sincerely recognize and thank our exceptional office staff. Their dedication and support extend far beyond the expected, touching every corner of our school. From cheerfully greeting families – both the friendly and the more challenging – to ensuring the smooth execution of every event, our office team is truly the backbone of our school. They arrive early, stay late, manage our supplies, process our paychecks and scan our lunches, and, above all, always help to ensure the well-being of our students. Thank you for all that you do! In addition to celebrating our administrative professionals, this week we also gratefully acknowledge the vital contributions of our campus volunteers.
