Faculty and Staff Updates A special shout out this week to our custodial staff:  Mike Bio, Walter Cummings, Kevin Robles, Alfred Lopez, Ericson Zaparita, Leonie DeVera and our Room Cleaners:   Yvette Hamalian, Tonja Hollander and Jennifer Hanawahine.  Saturday, October 2nd is National Custodians Appreciation Day and we are very appreciative of our AMAZING crew! Modified Fire Drills will be held this week on Thursday (Upper grades) and Friday (Lower grades) mornings at 8:15 am.  We will be doing this in the same format as last month, via announcement. Our November drills are being planned for full school, as we will also be conducting our school evacuation drill, scheduled for 11/10.  More information will come out with instructions for teachers. Faculty and Staff Updates From Principal Rankie’s Aloha Friday email: Aupuni Palapala Professional Development Opportunities for School Year 2021-2022: If interested, please see attached Aupuni Memo for a PD opportunity. (Emailed by Mr. Rankie on 9/17/2021)   Requests for 6 section plexiglass partitions and 3ft x 6ft tables: Please put in a custodial request if you would like to have a 6 section (3ft x 6ft) partition for your classroom. As a reminder, even with the partition, social distancing of our students is still expected to the greatest extent possible. If you also require a table for the partition to fit on, please put in a request for that as well. Tables will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.    On-site COVID-19 Testing: In partnership with PerkinElmer and Color Health, Ho'okele will be conducting a "trial" run of a self-administered, free COVID test this Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 7:00am - 7:45am .
