Dear Faculty and Staff, We sincerely hope you are all staying healthy and keeping yourselves active and safe.  This is a new experience for everyone and we understand the various emotions that come into play on a daily basis.  We are here to listen and help in whatever ways we can as we all learn new ways of doing everything! As you continue to settle into our new virtual way of life, stay connected! At this time, school facilities remain closed through April 30. Report Cards and Progress Reports **Teachers, please see IMPORTANT email from Laureen dated March 29, 2020 with details on due date for entering report cards and electronic distribution on 4/8 and 4/9. Faculty Meeting for Teachers:  Wednesday, April 1 12:30-1:30 pm. Check for an invitation on Google. Aloha Ho‘okele Ohana, Understandably there is a lot of confusion and uncertainty during this time.  We are all adjusting to the new norms of our current world.   To help us navigate, we welcome back Leslie to our support team and school!  Her cross training at Ilima is postponed as she and Tia are immediately returning to their assigned schools.  We thank Tia for all of her support during the busy week prior to Spring Break.   Thank you for your patience.  Please keep checking your emails for updates and keep in touch as to what supports you need.  Other than the access on Monday and Tuesday for teachers (see email), the campus is closed completely.  Stay safe and healthy. DOE Press Release from 3/19/2020 HIDOE extends school closures, implements remote work to maintain essential functions DOE E-mail 3/18/2020.  We will send additional details once available. HIDOE employees to begin remote work March 19, schools to close March 30 The Hawaii State Department of Education (HIDOE) will close its offices except for essential functions effective Thursday, March 19. Schools will close March 30 following the extension of spring break. Employee return dates will be staggered. Students are anticipated to return to school April 7. HIDOE employees will be working remotely and those who need to perform duties at a campus or office during this period will be limited to those tasks before returning to their telework ...

Information for Faculty and Staff Welcome to Tia Marquez, our VP for upper grades for the next 3 weeks while Ms. Toy is at Ilima Intermediate. You can reach Tia via DOE email for now and her Ho‘okele account should be available this week. We have made it to the end of 3rd quarter! And what an exciting quarter it has been!   Congratulations to Mrs. Brown and daughter Melissa for another successful musical run!  The Seussical was truly amazing. We enjoyed hearing the comments from the audience, especially those who are at Ho‘okele for their first year.  It is truly a remarkable production that requires much time, dedication and hidden talents of so many staff members (make-up, hair, costumes, set, choreography, lighting, sounds, set up, clean up…).  With staff like this-ANYTHING is POSSIBLE!
