Updates for Week of May 1, 2017

Information for Teachers IT’S MAY!!  With less than a month to go, we know you are feeling the excitement and stress!  Hang in there! Please welcome our new meal clerk, Ms. Sally Naone Kawewehi.  Sally started last week and will be assuming the responsibilities previously held by Ms. Jackie.  We are excited to have Sally as part of our front office team! Thank you for getting your kids ready for SBA and HSA-Science!  Keep encouraging them to do their best-we’re looking forward to great results as a result of your hard work this school year!  Remember to keep all disruptions to a minimum during testing! Information for Teachers Hope you al had a nice Easter Weekend!! Please help your students learn our songfest songs by playing them during appropriate class time.  Although the PTTs are practicing with them, we do need them to have as much exposure to ALL of the songs as possible.  Play the songs as students transition or work independently so they can get used to the lyrics. Hawaii Pono‘i (All students) Ke Mele Oli Kula (All Students) We Make a Rainbow (All Students) Oli Mahalo (All Students) Approximately 20% of our students are recognized as military children.  As a school we will be participating by allowing students to wear purple on Friday 4/21.  However, students need to wear their uniform if they are not participating.  Please show your support for our military families! Information for Teachers IPDP sharing will be held this week at Wednesday’s faculty meeting to share updates on your Tribes activities.  Attached is the guidelines and links to the groups and form for sharing feedback.   Tribes IPDP.
