Welcome Home to Ho‘okele!
We look forward to most of you returning this week!  Hopefully Darby didn’t have too much of an impact on you and your families on your last days of summer break!
This will be a very busy week as we prepare for our second year of school at Ho‘okele!
Jill has prepared an informational presentation to help you with much of the information you may be wondering, including changes for the upcoming year.  Please review the presentation and bring questions with you so we can answer them this week before students return.  How to Survive the First Days of School
With our PD this week, we are asking for support with bringing snacks.  Please sign up for snacks HERE.
If you ordered lunch, please pay by Tuesday morning to Cindy.  If you would still like to order, you MUST contact Mindy by noon on Monday for any last minute orders. The order form link has been closed.
Here is what is happening this week:
7/25:  First Day Meal Count Assistant
         Infinite Campus Training 12:30-3:30 pm (Mindy and Laureen)
7/26:  First day for Health Aide
         First Day for Teachers:  Tribes Training in Library 8am-3pm (Snacks:  Support and Grade 5)
         Use of Facilities-Staff Dining Room (7:30-2:30) (School Food Service)
7/27:  First Day for EAs (Please attend WFBB training in library)
         Teacher and EA Training:  Write from the Beginning and Beyond  in library 8am-3 pm (Snacks:   Support and Grade 3)
         Meet and Greet for Grades K-2 from 5-6:30 pm (Preschool Meet and Greet will be held prior to
5 pm)
7/28:  Teacher Work Day
         Welcome Back Breakfast in Cafeteria 8-9am
         Tribes Training for Classified Staff 9:00-2:00 pm (DOE Policies)
         Meet and Greet for Grades 3-5 from 5-6:30 pm
7/29:  Teacher Work Day
         Student CPO training 9:00 am

       Kindergarten Group A 1/2 Day and Parent Orientation at 8:30-11:45 am
       Grades 1-5 ID Picture Taking for new students 8:30-10:00 am

8/2:  Kindergarten Group B 1/2 Day and Parent Orientation at 8:30-11:45am
       Kindergarten ID taking (New students) 8:30-9:30 am
8/3:  Kindergarten Group A 1/2 day (7:50-11:45 am)
       Kindergarten ID taking (New students) 8:30-9:30 am
       Faculty Forum (Admin Day 1:10-3:35 pm)
8/4:  Kindergarten Group B 1/2 day (7:50-11:45 am)
       Kindergarten ID taking (New students) 8:30-9:30 am

8/5:  Half Day for ALL Kindergarteners (7:50-11:45 am)

This Wednesday marks Administrative Professionals Day, and we want to take a moment to sincerely recognize and thank our exceptional office staff. Their dedication and support extend far beyond the expected, touching every corner of our school. From cheerfully greeting families – both the friendly and the more challenging – to ensuring the smooth execution of every event, our office team is truly the backbone of our school. They arrive early, stay late, manage our supplies, process our paychecks and scan our lunches, and, above all, always help to ensure the well-being of our students. Thank you for all that you do!
