November is Gratitude Month at Ho‘okele, and our Student Council is leading two special service projects to show our appreciation and care for others in our community.

Towels & Blankets Drive for the Hawaiian Humane Society
Dates: November 3–7, 2025
The Hawaiian Humane Society is calling out to the community for help. They are caring for many puppies and kittens who need extra medical attention, and their supply of towels and blankets is running low. Because these items can only be used once for sick animals, the shelter goes through them very quickly.
Our Student Council hopes to support their important work by collecting clean towels, blankets, and linens to help keep animals warm, clean, and comfortable while they heal.

Canned Food Drive for the Hawai‘i Food Bank
Dates: November 13–21, 2025
Join us in helping local families by donating canned and non-perishable food items.
Please Consider Donating Our Most Needed Items:

  • Canned Proteins (like tuna or chicken)

  • Canned Meals (like stew, spaghetti, or chili)

  • Canned Fruits

  • Canned Vegetables

  • Bags of Rice

Drop-Off Location: In front of the School Store

We are proud of our Student Council for leading with gratitude and inspiring our students to give back. Together, we can make a difference for both animals and families across Hawai‘i.



AED/CPR Training is Monday after school in the library.  Narcan Training is on Tuesday afterschool in the library.  Thank you for signing up!

Please note student shopping hours, family shopping hours, and teachers please note that there is no book borrowing between 11/07 - 11/19 due to set up and the live fair.

This Wednesday marks Administrative Professionals Day, and we want to take a moment to sincerely recognize and thank our exceptional office staff. Their dedication and support extend far beyond the expected, touching every corner of our school. From cheerfully greeting families – both the friendly and the more challenging – to ensuring the smooth execution of every event, our office team is truly the backbone of our school. They arrive early, stay late, manage our supplies, process our paychecks and scan our lunches, and, above all, always help to ensure the well-being of our students. Thank you for all that you do!
