Congratulations to the Ho‘okele Dance Team (HDT)

These are not tears of sadness, but tears of PURE JOY!!! What a PROUD moment for the Hookele Dance Team (HDT) as they tied for 1st place with August Ahrens at the Elementary Dance Competition tonight! Awesome job students! We’re so proud of your hardwork, dedication, and teamwork! Also, a huge shout out to our dance team advisor/choreographer Mrs. Brown, Miss. Melissa and Ms. Higa!

Recess Changes start March 28, 2022!

  • Recess Zones

    • Remind students to stay on their “half” of playground assigned to the class.

  • Yard Duty 

  • Playground Revamp

  • Recess Rules -

    • No football starting 3/28/2022, 

    • Tetherball added to Ho’okele Hills

    • Students can take equipment from any of the baskets on their side of the playground.  Equipment will be by area for the classes in that area to share.


Cafe Updates

  • Table Wipers - To start March 28 (Teachers assign 1-2 students per class for this responsibility)

iReady diagnostic:  The i-Ready Reading Diagnostics has been assigned and will be available at 8:00 am on Monday, March 28th.  If you didn't have a chance to go over the Good Test Takers Presentation and i-Ready Preparing Students for Subsequent Diagnostic Presentation, please take a few minutes to do so. (See email from Regina 3/24 to grades 3-5)

This Wednesday marks Administrative Professionals Day, and we want to take a moment to sincerely recognize and thank our exceptional office staff. Their dedication and support extend far beyond the expected, touching every corner of our school. From cheerfully greeting families – both the friendly and the more challenging – to ensuring the smooth execution of every event, our office team is truly the backbone of our school. They arrive early, stay late, manage our supplies, process our paychecks and scan our lunches, and, above all, always help to ensure the well-being of our students. Thank you for all that you do!
