A message from our Principal (Emailed 7/15/2021):

Good Afternoon Ho'okele Ohana,

 

I hope you are all enjoying your summer break and taking some time to relax and recharge after a school year unlike any other. I would like to humbly introduce myself as the new principal at Ho'okele Elementary School. 

 

In my short time here I was already afforded the opportunity to meet with the Home Group Leads and Support Team. During that time we discussed our current financial / enrollment situation and spoke about the possibility of conducting Distance Learning for the upcoming school year. With that said, it was decided that we will not be providing that modality of learning this school year, but rather we will be inviting all students back to campus for full day in-person learning.

 

I have attached the letter that will be sent home to families tonight informing them of this decision. However, as DOE guidance still seems to be changing on a daily basis, I will also do my best to communicate any additional updates to our plans to the staff and our community. 

 

I look forward to working with you all and meeting you in person soon. Until then please stay safe and enjoy the rest of your summer!

This Wednesday marks Administrative Professionals Day, and we want to take a moment to sincerely recognize and thank our exceptional office staff. Their dedication and support extend far beyond the expected, touching every corner of our school. From cheerfully greeting families – both the friendly and the more challenging – to ensuring the smooth execution of every event, our office team is truly the backbone of our school. They arrive early, stay late, manage our supplies, process our paychecks and scan our lunches, and, above all, always help to ensure the well-being of our students. Thank you for all that you do!
