Updates for Week of May 24, 2021

As we enter this FINAL week of the school year...a BIG MAHALO to all of our faculty and staff for making this year happen.  We have grown and learned so much together and it is with extreme gratitude that we wind up this crazy school year with all of you.   We have 13 staff members leaving us after this school year due to moves, new opportunities and retirements.  We have been truly fortunate to have worked with each and every one of you.  Best wishes to those who will be leaving our Ho‘okele Family, we will miss you!  Please join us right after Monday’s faculty meeting for a small treat and to say farewell to those leaving.  We will be serving treats outside in the piko area, between the cafe and admin buildings.  We want each and everyone of you to know that you have helped shape who we are as a school community and we would not be Ho‘okele without you!   End of Year responsibilities and Reminders: Instructions for End of Year Closing Activities...

Happy Mother’s Day!   We all wear many hats and most likely your favorite hat is that of a mother.  We appreciate all you do for your children at home and for your Ho‘okele children!   Welcome to Crista Bautzmann, our new MFLC counselor.  Her office will be in the PCNC room in the office.  If you have any students of military families that could use assistance, please reach out to Crista.     Please help to be proactive in reminding parents and students that our policy this year is as follows: Special Occasions For health and safety reasons, no outside treats or goody bags will be accepted or distributed to students.   This is in our reopening handbook found on our website.  It would be best to remind parents of this now as we get close to the end of the year and some may be thinking about end of the year goody bags.  It is much easier to be proactive than to have the child be sent home with the items.  This applies to any type...
