Information for Faculty Welcome back!  Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving and a restful long weekend! Reminders:   Your Quarter 2 CARES award submissions are due this Friday!  Please see email from Laura Brown sent on 11/23/16. All DOE employees need to have an updated Code of Conduct.  If you did not receive and sign for your copy, please see Mindy ASAP! Information for Faculty With an Attitude of Gratitude, we thank each and every one of you for what you contribute to Ho‘okele Elementary. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and Safe Shopping this long weekend!   There is no RTI this week.  No resources or PLC this week. A warm welcome back to Ms. Ashley Shinn, our 5th grade teacher who returns this week.  A BIG MAHALO to Ms. Grace Blevins for subbing in the class from the start of school! THANK YOU! Fire Inspection is Monday!  Thank you for making any necessary corrections.  Please leave all of your doors unlocked during the inspection so the firemen can easily enter and exit your rooms. We look forward to visiting your classrooms on Tuesday for our quarterly walkthroughs. Support Team will be visiting from about 8:15-10:00 am. Information for Teachers For your information and planning, Mrs. Dunn will be off campus this week Monday and Tuesday. November 15-18 RTI for everyone this week! As we move into the holiday season, many of your classes and grade levels are planning events for class celebrations.  As we did want to re-emphasize our wellness policy and guidelines, please consider having healthy options on your sign up sheets for potlucks and/or celebrations.  Another suggestion is that if food items are brought in that are outside of the guidelines, sometimes the portion size can bring them closer to meeting some of the criteria.  For example, a small cupcake with no or little icing or portion of a cupcake would provide less calories and sugar per serving than a large cupcake with a giant heap of icing.  Hmmm...I see some interactive math lessons here!!!  Thanks for considering this in your planning.
